Until last week if someone asked us the definition of a sleepless night on a Saturday, we would either think of those late night parties, night-out at a friend's place, preparing for any entrance exam, or binge-watching our favourite show. But, on July 1, at the stroke of midnight, PM Narendra Modi redefined the whole concept, by rolling out the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which actually snatched away sleep from many people. The GST that is being touted as one of the biggest taxation reforms, aims at giving support to PM Modi's “One Nation – One Tax – One Market” goal. PM Modi also said that GST will be a “Good and Simple Tax”, but given the clouds of confusion hovering over us, it's quite clear that the ship of simplicity has already left the dock, leaving us puzzled souls behind.

While the common people were visibly confused with this recent development, there were some who found solace in the memes posted by fellow netizens. Twitter left no stone unturned in squeezing out jokes out of GST and we are not complaining, at all. However, it seems Twitter hunger wasn't satiated with just memes and jokes, so they have now shifted to posting pictures of their first GST bill. As these bills become the latest fad for Twitteratis, we tried to do our bit in bringing you a step closer to what can possibly be your next party venue.
