Gone are the days when a cricketer was probably only supposed to show his or her skills on the field. 

Thanks to the ever growing world of entertainment and social media, our sports stars have started occupying space on hoardings, OTT advertisements and are associated with selling shampoo to even a freaking apartment in Noida. 

However, one space that remained unoccupied for a while was the music world, which has now been touched by none other than ‘Universe Boss’, Chris Gayle.  

The legendary West Indies cricketer turned into a ‘Punjabi Daddy’ for his latest single.

With a bright kurta, shining turban and a smashing dhoti, Chris looks like a ‘pind da munda’ in all aspects.  

Naturally, his video is garnering a lot of reactions. 

While some fans find it rather unbelievable that he pulled off something like this, others are jokingly coaxing him to change his name to 'Gayle Preet Singh'!

While mostly the reactions are fun, some Punjabis have blatantly called him out for giving a Punjabi touch to his song to garner more attention, and urged him to actually support the farmers protest if he truly wishes to glorify their culture.  

Gayle is currently playing for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2021 and courtesy of his social media antics, he always manages to keep his followers and fans entertained, even off the field.
