After a lot of reports speculating their separation, Samantha Ruth Prabhu confirmed separation with husband Naga Chaitanya and said they have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue their own paths. Their perfect story came to an end as they didn’t see a future with each other anymore. 

On Saturday, both of them announced the news through their respective social media handles, saying, "To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers, and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thank you for your support."

There are different theories about their divorce that are doing the rounds of the Internet. As per reports in News18 and Bollywood Life, there are five speculated reasons as to why they chose to end their relationship. 

1: A report suggests Naga’s family wasn’t very appreciative of Samantha picking up bold roles. She even shifted to Mumbai amid all these separation rumours which made matters worse.

2: There are rumours that the couple had very conflicting views on starting a family and having a baby in their lives. While one wanted to focus on the career, the other wanted to start a family. This created friction between the two. Back in 2018, Samantha spoke about how she and Naga Chaitanya have decided the timeline for when they will have a baby. She revealed, "I have put a date as to when I want my baby. The date has been fixed! Like, as if that's going to happen according to the date we have fixed! But Chay (Naga Chaitanya) seems to be certain that it will happen on the assigned date.” 

3: As per a News18 report, Samantha is allegedly in a relationship with a designer which was primarily the reason why she wanted the divorce. 

On the work front, Samantha will be seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal with Vijay Sethupathi, and Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya had tied the knot in 2017.
