The affair of Bollywood and Cricket has always been a steamy piece of news. Every time a Bollywood actress marries or falls in love with a cricketer, there's a lot of news fluttering everywhere.

While some relationships were in the public eye and culminated in the holy union of marriage for people like Virat and Anushka, Hardik and Natasa, some love stories ended up buried and others were mostly brushed off as rumours. One such beautiful yet incomplete tale of romance was that of star cricketer of the 90s, Ajay Jadeja and Bollywood heartthrob Madhuri Dixit.

According to a report in IBT, Madhuri and Ajay met for a photo shoot and found an instant connection. Soon, love blossomed as the friendship grew. This is around the time when Ajay was trying to venture into the cinema world as well and it turns out that the actress tried to help him by recommending his name to producers.

However, things started turning topsy-turvy when Ajay’s name got defamed in the match-fixing controversy and his on-field career started affecting his personal life as well.

Amidst all of this, there were also rumours that the families didn’t really approve of the relationship and in an anti-climax sequence, this ‘adhuri kahani’ ended here. Madhuri then went on to marry Dr. Nene and she is happily settled with her family and Ajay also went on to marry his wife, Jaya. Guess all’s well that ends well.
