People often say that Karma…, well, it does get back to you. These words may never be more true for Urfi Javed, Javed Akhtar & the Akhtar family it seems.

Right after her stint with Bigg Boss, Urfi Javed saw her popularity soar up at an unbelievable speed. Along with that what also went up exponentially, was the amount of trolling that she had to put up with.

To make matters worse, some Bollywood celebrities also chimed in on the trolling. At the height of all this, the Akhtars put out a statement (which, people claim, was rather condescending in tone) claiming that Urfi Javed was not related to the veteran lyricist and his family.

With this started a whole new slew of trolling and memes targeting Urfi Javed. In fact, she has had to go on record a number of times, explaining, or rather debunking the rumour that she is related to the Lyricist or rather anyone in his family.

Well, to shut everyone up for once, she finally got a custom T-shirt made for herself, that stated the fact, loud & clear.

Urfi is often trolled for her outfits, and unsurprisingly, is often slut-shamed for them. In fact, she was one of 2021’s most trolled celebrities, and that is saying something.

What we like about her, and what most people must admire her for, is the sheer will that she has to wear what she wants, and for constantly pushing the boundaries for what is considered “tasteful fashion,” and what is not.

Coming back to the “statement” piece that she was seen wearing at the Mumbai Airport, well, that is one heck of a way to make a resounding statement and own your trolls, no matter how big or small. Stylistically, it is a great way to dress down casually for the airport.

We wonder what the Akhtars would have to say on this. More to that, what her trolls would have to say to her. As for Urfi, kudos to her for taking a stand in such a hilarious manner. All we can say is, more power to you…
