Ever since the release of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali films, the demand for the Hindi dubbed versions of South Indian films have increased manifolds.  

However, most of the time, the Hindi voices of these South Indian stars are dubbed by professional voiceover artists and in some instances, the makers rope in noted Bollywood stars to provide Hindi voiceovers for the South Indian actors. 

For most of the Hindi dubbed versions of Allu Arjun films that air on TV, his voice is often dubbed by noted voiceover artist Sanket Mhatre.

However, for Allu Arjun’s recent grand spectacle Pushpa: The Rise, the makers roped in Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade of Golmaal franchise and Iqbal fame. Yes, the voice of Allu Arjun you heard in the Hindi version of Pushpa is actually of Shreyas Talpade.

Reportedly, he will now also provide voiceover for Allu Arjun in his upcoming Hindi release of 2020 blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. 

While Shreyas Talpade’s voiceover was appreciated by many, perhaps the most acclaimed Hindi voiceover for a South Indian film was provided by actor Sharad Kelkar for Prabhas in Baahubali films. His voice suited the character to the T and added value to the Hindi version of the film.

As for the voiceover artist Sanket Mhatre, he has also been the Hindi voice of actors like Mahesh Babu for Choodan (The Real Tiger), Srimanthudu (The Real Tevar) & Aagadu (Encounter Shankar), for Suriya in Jai Bheem, Soorarai Pottru & Kaappaan. 

Sanket has also provided voiceovers for NTR Jr and Ram Pothineni.

Voiceover artist Manoj Pandey has lent his voice to Rana Daggubati for films like Baahubali and Krishna Ka Badla 

Voiceover artist Rajesh Kava has provided voiceovers for Vijay in most of his dubbed Hindi films including Velayudham (Superhero Shahenshah) and also lent his voice to Dhanush for films like Thanga Magan.

Voiceover artist Vinod Kulkarni has dubbed for popular comic actor Brahmanandam in films like Arya 2, Power, Rebel and Kandireega. 

Perhaps the biggest star to have provided his voice for a dubbed Hindi film is Ajay Devgn. He voiced for the Hindi dubbed version of Ram Charan’s Dhruva.

In the film, the Hindi voiceover for the antagonist played by Arvind Swamy was provided by Arbaaz Khan.
