‘BSDK!’ Indian Fans Get Offended After Cricket South Africa Shows ‘Tiny’ Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Ahead of the second ODI match between India and South Africa, the official Twitter handle for Cricket South Africa shared a post giving away the details of the contest. However, the picture they shared with the details managed to upset the fans of the Men in Blue and specifically those of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

In the creative shared by CSA, the graphic designer edited the Indian pacer’s picture and made him extremely tiny in comparison to the Protea pacer Marco Jansen, who is already a 6’8’’ tall athlete and makes everyone around him look… minimised.

While some fans saw the funnier side of the post and joked about how even the graphic designer could not show the two cricketers on an equal scale, some of the more “touchy” fans of the Indian swing specialist took exception to the picture and speculated that the CSA designers did this intentionally to make Kumar look inferior in front of Jansen.

During the first match at Boland Park, Kumar ended up being the second-most expensive bowler for Indian skipper KL Rahul giving away 64 runs in 10 overs without taking a single wicket throughout the match and drew a lot of criticism from fans and critics alike.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra said rather boldly that the pacer’s “sharpness” has been missing for quite some time now and that his lack of form with the ball has been persistent for 12-15 months making his performance at Paarl very disappointing.

The 31-year-old bowler has also been marred with a series of injuries in the past couple of years because of which he has lost many opportunities to play at the highest level of international cricket consistently.

Lately, the Indian cricket team has been showing a lot of faith in some of their older players who have failed to show consistency for a long a period of time. They did so with Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara in the Test series not too long ago.

Therefore, it would only be fair to Kumar that the team doesn’t make any hasty decisions about his spot in the squad. Having said that, Bhuvi is on the clock and must deliver some big numbers soon.
