More than a decade ago, Ranveer Singh stepped into the industry and made his smashing debut with Band Baaja Baaraat. No one would have ever imagined that he would go on to establish himself as one of the most successful and bankable actors of Bollywood.

Currently, Ranveer is soaking in praises for his act as Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s 83. In a recent interview with Hello Magazine, he said, “In the 10 years of my career,I didn't receive this degree of love and praise as I did for 83, especially from critics. It's reactions like these that motivate me to keep exploring and working harder. I'm hungrier than ever before.”

Ranveer's success as a celebrity lies in his versatility and he has given us praiseworthy performances in movies like Lootera, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Dil Dhadakne Do, Padmaavat, Simmba, and Gully Boy.  

Sharing how he learnt about his acting process all along the way, he said, “My wife (Deepika Padukone) thinks I am a different person every six months. When I started, I thought I knew all about acting, but as time progressed, I realised how far from the truth that was. The craft has no limits, and all I have are tools to work with effectively.”

In a recent interview, Deepika revealed how Ranveer is secure as an actor and he has always supported her. She added that he never had any issues with her earning more than him. She also stated it’s his personality trait that he doesn’t steal the spotlight and let his colleagues lead the show. 

Talking about his ideology, he said, “The way I function surprises people. I am not only a secure actor but a secure person overall. I have been victim to the one-upmanship game actors play, trying to upstage others, wanting the entire show to revolve around them and treating others with disrespect. I’ve experienced this first hand, and I promised myself I would never do this to another. It’s a very negative approach towards the craft. I can’t bear it. You are corrupting the medium by adopting such a hurtful approach, and it’s been my endeavour to never be that person.”

He went on to add, “I strive to be an artist who treats his art and fellow actors with the utmost respect and sincerity, I'm an entertainer, and my job is to entertain the audience to the best of my abilities. If they can laugh and cry along with me on screen, that's my biggest validation." 

We totally respect his approach and this is why he is one of the top choices for all the directors to work with.
