The end of 2021 was a fairly good one for Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal who ended up marrying his love Katrina Kaif in what was a dream Bollywood wedding.

Well, it looks like Vicky is starting this year with a bang as well.

Vicky, who's really seen his stocks rise across Bollywood with powerful performances in many films, is already part of some very exciting projects that include Sam Bahadur and Govinda Naam Mera being some of them.

However, there is another interesting project that Vicky is now set to be a part of, and it looks super exciting if we're honest.

According to reports, the URI actor is actually teaming up with Bollywood director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and producer Ritesh Sidhwani for a very exciting project.

As per a Pinkvilla report, the trio was even spotted together in Mumbai on what looked like discussions for a reported passion project. And it looks like the reports were actually true as it was no ordinary chit-chat meeting.

According to the report, Vicky will be collaborating with Mehra and Sidhwani on a film based on Mahabharat.

The movie will be titled 'Karna', with Vicky, obviously, playing the titular character.

A source close to the development spoke to Pinkvilla, and revealed, “The project is extremely close to Rakeysh’s heart and has been wanting to make a film on it for many years now. Vicky will play the titular role in this mythological drama, which will be narrated from the perspective of Karna. Excel Entertainment will be producing the film and the trio are extremely excited to collaborate on this one. The movie is expected to roll by the end of this year, and Vicky will start with his prep closer to the shooting date,”

This is not it.

According to reports, Vicky has beaten Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor to the role of Karna in the film.

It is reported that Shahid, who will next be seen in the upcoming Jersey film, had been in talks with Mehra earlier, with the movie then being produced by Ronnie Screwvala.

Well, looks like Vicky would be perfect to play the role of Karna, and we sure cannot wait for it.
