In 2016, Kareena Kapoor Khan starred alongside Arjun Kapoor in R Balki’s Ki & Ka. Besides its unique plot, the film made headlines for featuring multiple kissing scenes between its two lead characters played by Kareena & Arjun. 

Before the release, the two stars were often asked about their multiple kissing scenes and about Kareena’s alleged no-kissing policy post her marriage with Saif Ali Khan.

Reacting to the question of breaking her no-kissing policy at the trailer launch of Ki & Ka, Kareena replied, “I read that there was this policy. I don't know where it came from.” 

At the same event, Kareena called Arjun “a good kisser”. And when she was asked about her husband Saif’s reaction to the trailer which included their kissing scenes as well, Kareena replied, “He was very happy after watching the promo of Ki & Ka. He found it very different and exciting. He actually messaged Arjun about how much he liked the promo”

And later at another event, the actress went on to reveal the reason why she kissed Arjun so many times in the film.

She said, “Let me say that I am quite sure that after this movie everyone will want a cook or maid, somebody to pay their bills. To do everything just the way Arjun Kapoor does. Not because he is very good at his job but because he is a very sexy looking hunk yaar. No wonder you get so many kisses from me in this movie.” 

At this statement, Arjun joked, “Chaliye headline toh mil gayi ab hum jaa sakte hain. Ab hamaara kaam ho gaya, we can leave now. (Media has got the headline, now our work here is done. We can leave.)”

Upon its release, Ki & Ka received positive reviews and turned out to be a box office success earning over Rs 50 crore.
