Xiaomi May Copy Yet Another Feature From The iPhone X As This Leaked Video Suggests

It is not yet known whether the Mi Mix 2S is going to be announced officially at MWC this year. However, countless leaks have already pointed towards details that we already know. The Mi Mix 2S is said to sport Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 processor and there's something else.Β

A leaked video suggests that Xiaomi's high-end smartphone will use gestures to navigate exactly like how it works on the iPhone X. Originally spotted by weico.cc and later posted by OnPhones on YouTube, the video shows that the phone does not feature a home button and has a near bezel-less display.Β

In order to navigate, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to launch the must-tasking app switcher. The gesture has been directly lifted from the iPhone X and if the video is authentic, it means Xiaomi may not adopt the fingerprint sensor from the Mi Mix 2.Β Β

Other leaks have also suggested that Xiaomi's latest device may feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, further solidifying the rumour of the fingerprint scanner being absent. The smartphone is expected to launch at MWC 2018 and according to rumours, it will be the first smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and is expected to have a 3400 mAh battery, 8GB RAM, a dual camera setup and 256GB internal storage.Β

An official banner had also surfaced on Weibo that shows the design of the smartphone. From the banner we can gather that the device has a very high screen-to-body ratio and also sports a notch just like the iPhone X. Xiaomi has not sent any invites for the keynote that is expected to take place at MWC. However, we will keep you updated as soon as we know more details about the smartphone.
