After 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' Farhan Akhtar & Rakeysh Mehra Are Returning With Another 'Toofani' Film

'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' is one of Farhan Akhtar's best-remembered pieces of acting. However, his later performances have not only just received a mild reception but have also failed to leave a mark on the audience's mind.

Be it as a lead actor in 'Lucknow Central' or as a supporting actor in 'Dil Dhadakne Do', Farhan didn't quite succeed in winning over his audience with his performance, which was the complete opposite to the phenomenal response to the biopic under Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's direction.

While fans have been waiting for Farhan Akhtar to reclaim the silver screen one more time with his acting potential, there's a piece of good news regarding the same that awaits them.

After an earlier announcement stating the release of Farhan's first official Bollywood movie 'The Fakir Of Venice' this Friday on 18th January, the 'Rock On!!' star has now made another happy announcement about his upcoming acting project, which will be helmed by none other than Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra!

The actor-director duo is all set to collaborate once again for their next film together, titled 'Toofan'. According to the latest reports, Farhan is all set to essay the role of a boxer in the film. However, unlike their previous film, this character is said to be based on a fictional character.

Farhan took to Instagram to break the news to his fans. Here is what he said exactly:

Thrilled to share that 6 years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, @rakeyshommehra and I are reuniting to create #Toofan .. a heartfelt story of a boxer.  âªHope for your best wishes as we embark on this new journey. Love

According to a report by The Indian Express, a source has revealed, “It's not a biopic. It is a fictional story scripted by Anjum Rajabali. Farhan fell in love with it as soon as he heard it. Rakeysh has already started with the prep and Farhan will be training extensively in boxing. He is looking forward to working with Rakeysh again. The film should roll this year.”

We really can't wait to see what the pair will whip up this time around.
