Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Was Spotted In The Wild And The Rumours Are Finally Coming True

The Galaxy S10+ is expected to launch soon. However, we've previously seen various leaks and renders that suggested its design. It was rumoured to have a large Infinity-O display with a wide cutout for front-facing cameras. The cut out was in the shape of a pill that suggested it would sport a dual front-facing camera setup. It seems like the rumours may have been true all along as it was spotted in the wild and we finally have a real-life image.

The image was posted on Slashleaks where the alleged smartphone was being used in a bus. The image is not as sharp as we would like it but it still gives away quite a few details. We can see on the top right corner of the screen where the pill-shaped dual camera setup is present. The bezels have also been reduced considerably as we can see the display covers most of the front.

We've already seen a punch-hole design on the Honor View 20; however, it would be interesting to see if Samsung's front-facing camera actually works in the favour of the user. It could be a bit more intrusive. However, we can only know that once we use the device for ourselves. Previous rumours have suggested that the Galaxy S10 and S10 E will have a similar punch-hole camera setup as renders have shown a smaller cutout. The Galaxy S10+ is also said to have a 4,000 mAh battery just like the Galaxy Note 9.

The launch date for these phones have already been confirmed and will launch on February 20th in San Francisco. The company has decided to skip the Mobile World Conference and it is unlikely that we will see any other major announcements from the South Korean giant that week. It's not the first time Samsung has skipped the conference, as in 2017, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S8 at a separate event in March. The smartphones are also rumoured to have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a headphone jack. Samsung is also expected to launch the first 5G phone alongside the Galaxy S10 and is expected to have souped-up specifications as well. You can read all about Samsung's 5G phone here
