Here's How To Turn 4 Major Sources Of Demotivation Into Positive Forces In Your Life

When life becomes dull, it's not easy to find your spunk and fight back. In order to succeed in life, one has to make it fun, positive, and full of motivation! If you find your life boring and unmotivated, you simply won't be able to make any progress. There are many reasons why you might not be feeling any enthusiasm in your life.

And there are even more ways to overcome it. Following are 4 such reasons why you might not be feeling motivated and ways to overcome it:

1. Lack Of Purpose

It's very important to have a goal, to have a purpose in life. Following it keeps you sane and sorted. If you don't have a purpose, you won't find any reason to move forward in life. Set a goal, fix a target! 

When you wake up, you should have a goal in your head, and if you are able to successfully create one, you'll be automatically motivated to achieve it.

2. Procrastination

This is the worst thing you can do to yourself. When you start postponing your affairs & chores, your mind adapts to procrastination. You won't be doing any work on time and would always feel too tired and lethargic to do so. 

Procrastination kills the motivation to do anything. Luckily, it's not difficult to come out of this state. Remember two things – 'the 5-minute rule' & 'schedule'.

Apply the 5-minute rule in your life. Whatever task can be done under 5 minutes, don't postpone it. Do it as soon as it comes to your mind. You will see a big change in your life by applying this small rule. Small chores will be done, your mind will be happy after completing a task, and slowly, it will start to procrastinate the procrastination. 

Next is, schedule. Fix a schedule and strictly follow it. Decide at what time you're going to wake up, have breakfast, leave for the office, and every other thing in your everyday life. Give some time for light exercise. Sticking to a schedule would make you punctual, as you would be completing all the tasks within the deadline and this would eventually push you to aim for higher goals.

3. Lack of Money

Believe it or not but lack of money can also be de-motivating. If you have gotten accustomed to a lower salary or lower returns, then you won't need the feel to work hard. You would trick yourself into thinking that two square meals & a roof above your head are good enough for you. 

If that has happened to you, you should become a little materialistic. Set your eye on something, something out of your budget. Convince yourself that you should buy it. You'll see yourself wanting to work harder to be able to buy it. And you would have it eventually.

When that happens and you get your motivation back, work smart. Set another milestone, and in your free time, look for other sources to earn. Pick a hobby and try to turn into a profession. You would not only be enjoying your time but would be utilizing it in the most perfect way. A little extra cash would be great for your savings account or for the latest Play Station. 

Leave the TV Shows and booze for the weekend. On weekdays, focus on improving your income. It is not that hard to find a hobby and become good enough in it that it starts paying you. You just need to be determined. 

4. Social Circle

Your social circle makes a huge impact on your life. If you surround yourself with positive & happy people, you would also feel happy and motivated. 

However, if your friends and colleagues are unmotivated and have negative opinions on everything, then this would impact you on a great level. Their constant criticism of the world would make you look at the world the same way. You would start finding fault in everything which would give your brain a great excuse to become slothful. This is when your motivation to do anything would die and you would just spend your time doing nothing.

If this is happening to you, you need to get out of such a company. Join some activities like trekking, or dance classes, or yoga classes, basically anything which would help you meet new people. This change will bring a positive impact on your life as you would not only be interacting with new people but will also be joining an activity. This will bring back the motivation you need in your life.

Now that we have told you every major reason why you might be becoming an always tired – demotivated person, you should start doing the aforementioned things to achieve greatness in life. Everyone can be a hero, you just need to fight your battle and come as a winner! May the force be with you!
