If you're cued in with what's happening in Bollywood, you'd know Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' is releasing in July 2019. The much-awaited Roshan biopic is based on the life of maths genius, Anand Kumar, who runs the famous super 30 program for IIT aspirants in Patna. All the Hrithik fans are truly geared up to watch him play Anand's character.

The film though has a slight twist of faith, in a good, reckoning way though! The film ran in to trouble recently when director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual misconduct by two women and became a part of the #MeToo movement. Soon after, the makers of the film decided to ask him to leave the project in order to preserve the sanctity of the film. Since then, the movie does not seem to have a director and its release has been delayed. Earlier it was supposed to release on the 25th of January but now it's scheduled to release on the 26th of July.

As soon as Vikas was shown the exit door, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas's former partner from now dissolved Phantom Films took over the project and is overseeing the post production of the film. In fact, Shibasish Sarkar, group CEO of Reliance Entertainment, revealed that the film will have no directorial credit whatsoever.

"Vikas is not associated with the edit and post-production. There will be no director credit for anyone. As a producer, after substantial investment of time, money and the efforts of all our technicians and talent, it is our responsibility to complete the film with the best possible resources available to us. Anurag is a partner, he has edited films of other Phantom partners in the past. He agreed to take this responsibility on Reliance's request, and with a professional and commercial understanding. Also, it has been agreed that he will not take any credit," the CEO told a popular publication.

The film is being produced by Reliance Entertainment and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

After the #MeToo movement hit Bollywood, a number of celebrities and producers, directors, and musicians were brought into the limelight on grounds of sexual misconduct and harassment. Vikas Bahl being one of them has been accused of the same by two women, one of them being the renowned actress Kangana Ranaut and the makers will think about putting his name back in the credit role if he gets a court order clearing his name out of it.

By all means, the step taken towards maintaining the sanctity of the movement is quite praiseworthy and we hope more people from the film industry take similar steps toward the perpetrators.
