Kangana Ranaut is a fierce woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. The brilliant actress is known for her strength on screen and off screen as well because be it taking off-beat roles or speaking her mind, Kangana is not someone who is scared of brewing a controversy or mincing her words. 

After the critical success and the accolades she's earned from her last movie 'Manikarnika', Kangana is all set to embark on a journey of Jayalalitha's biopic, which is a bilingual project and will be made in Tamil and Hindi. As per recent reports, Kangana will be paid close to Rs 24 crores for the project, which means she'll dethrone Deepika Padukone as the highest paid actress in Bollywood. Deepika was reportedly paid close to Rs 12 crore for 'Padmaavat'. The producers have already signed a contract with Kangana and the movie will be titled 'Thalaivi' in Tamil and 'Jaya' in Hindi.

In a recent interview, Kangana spoke about taking up this huge project. "I always wanted to work in regional films because when we go to Tamil Nadu or Andhra Pradesh, we realise that people over there only watch films made by their local film industry. So there is a disconnect with that part of the country. I was waiting for a good opportunity to work over there and this film just came my way. I was working on my own biopic, but her (Jayalalithaa) story is very similar to my story. In fact, it is a bigger success story than mine. When I heard the narration of this film, I found many similarities between both the stories. So when I had the option to do a film based on her story or my story, I decided on the former.” She is also planning to take Tamil lessons to play the part correctly. Well, there is a reason we call her the 'Queen', after all .
