MS Dhoni Has Been Dismissing Generations Of Batsmen Of The 'Parag Family & They Can't Help It

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of a kind cricketer of this generation. With the kind of strength, quickness and creativity he possesses, the Ranchi-born athlete has won the hearts of millions of fans throughout the world, yes, even his opponents.

Let's take the example of this young cricketer, Riyan Parag, a Rajasthan Royals member who played a brilliant innings against Kolkata Knight Riders in a win to ruin Dinesh Karthik's explosive and unbeaten 97-run performance a couple of days ago.

In what he considers to be the game of life, Parag had the honour of sharing the field with 'Captain Cool' himself when his RR locked horns against Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings on 11th April 2019. What's more is that after the 17-year-old was able to collate no more than 16 runs, he was dismissed with a caught behind with Mahi as the keeper.

Now, two weeks since the matchup, Indian commentary legend, Harsha Bhogle uploaded a tweet something extremely interesting about Dhoni and the Parag family:

Someone on twitter (sorry there were lots of msgs and I can't trace the name) pointed out this interesting bit of trivia. #RR played #CSK on April 11 in Jaipur and Riyan Parag was caught by MS Dhoni for 16.

Many years ago, in the 99-00 season of the Ranji Trophy (see the 2nd innings of Assam in this scorecard) https://t.co/R2CzlZvnwG
An Assam opener, called Parag Das was stumped by a young keeper called MS Dhoni. Parag Das is Riyan Parag's father! And MSD is the constant!

That's right, when former captain of the Indian cricket team, made his Ranji debut in the year 2000, he dismissed the opener of the Assam team. The name of the opener, Parag Das, the father of Riyan.

Essentially, with multiple generations of a cricketing family have come and gone, the only thing constant is the brilliance of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

This is how the fans reacted:

Dhoni's longevity and consistency. It's like starting off as a Management Trainee in an office and helping an officer with his PPT and then years later being a mentor to his son and teaching him how to make the perfect PPT.
