In a short span of time, we have seen Shahid Kapoor play the role of a king in Padmaavat, a lover in Kabir Singh, a glimpse of his prep as a cricketer in Jersey, he is now again ready to surprise with his action-oriented and âdesh-bhaktâ avatar.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, he has signed his next film and it will be produced by KaranâJohar. Well, the report also suggests that we will get to see Alia Bhatt opposite him once again.
A source told the leading tabloid, âIt has patriotic undertones and will be directed by a debutant. Shahid is a fan of the action genre and is excited about being a part of this film. He needs to bulk up for the part, so the prep will begin a few months before he starts shooting for the film, which is expected to go on the floors in the second half of the year. It is currently in the pre-production stage.â
We are wondering what kind of a role would this be as it has action infused with patriotism. Not much is really shared in terms of the storyline and we can actually make our imagination run wild.
Meanwhile, Shahid has joined back the shoot for Jersey after suffering an injury earlier this year. The actor even thanked his fans for their concern. âThank you for all the concern. Yes, I have got a few stitches but am recovering fast. #jersey has taken a little bit of my blood but a script this good deserves that in the least. Have a good one you all. Keep it real. Make it count. Spread the love. Humanity above all,â the actor wrote on Twitter.
