Akshay Kumar Says He Doesnt Believe In Religion But In 'Being Indian' & Fans Wanna See His Passport

Akshay Kumar, who is one of the biggest superstars of the entrainment industry and also one of the highest tax payers of the nation, is known for a lot of other things besides being a good actor. Heâs a doting father, a wonderful human being and his disciplined lifestyle is beyond an average human being's. Amongst other things that he is loved for, he often finds himself amidst random online trolling about him being a Canadian citizen and making âIndianâ movies. While that is oneâs personal choice, we also cannot discount the fact that his movies have helped raise awareness on various issues like sanitary needs of a woman and the needs of building toilets in rural areas.

View this post on InstagramThank you @twinklerkhanna for nominating me. Eating clean is not an option but a way of life for me. Hereâs a glimpse at what made me spring into action this morning ðº Sharing how you can also make my favourite avocado on toast and my chia pudding. Itâs healthy, tasty, and keeps you full for hours, not to mention high in protein ð *Avocado on toast* Mash a ripe avocado. Add little olive oil, I like to add Rapeseed oil to it. Add a pinch of Himalayan Pink Salt, & a dash of chaat masala if you like things flavoursome. Spread the mashed avocado on two slices of toasted barley bread or any multigrain bread. Garnish with pomegranate. *Chia Pudding* Soak 3 teaspoons of chia seeds in walnut milk, overnight. Add a little honey or cinnamon to it. Top with seasonal fruits of your choice, preferably berries. Voila Bon Appetit ðð½ Now you know whatâs in my dabba, I nominate @katrinakaif @bhumipednekar and @shikhardofficial to give me a peek inside their dabbas. It would be great to know more healthy food options. Donât forget to share a photo with #WhatsInYourDabba and tag @TweakIndiaA post shared by (@akshaykumar)

While promoting his upcoming movie Sooryavanshi where he plays a cop, Akshay spoke about the messages he intends on delivering via his work. âI donât believe in any religion. I only believe in being Indian and that is what the film also shows. The idea of being an Indian and not about being a Parsi or a Hindu or a Muslim, we havenât looked at it on the basis of the religion.â  While his fans loved the statement and the fact that the release of the movie is being postponed amidst the Corona scare, people on social media couldnât help bring out the irony of the statement and started asking about his Indian citizenship.

#AkshayKumar I read today in one news that you donât believe in any religion you believe in being Indian. I guess thatâs why you hold Canadian passport

To promote his movie he will say anything. @akshaykumar do you have Indian citizenship? pic.twitter.com/YIwtZ9u4eL

About a few months ago, the actor addressed the issue of constant trolling and even mentioned that it hurts his sentiments when his fans love his work but keep calling out the fact that he holds a Canadian citizenship. He mentioned his family is Indian, he pays taxes in India and has even applied for a dual citizenship. Well, all things said and done, you cannot ignore the fact that an actor who loves his country so much, decides to not even be a legal citizen here. We love his work and appreciate his choice of work as well, still the âjantaâ cannot be fooled.
