Bad breath is a big put off despite being something all of us experience after waking up every morning.

But what's worse is having a bad stench in the middle of the day in a work environment or going on a date with a bad stench. One assumes, that the morning brushing ritual is enough to tackle bad breath, but it's always not the case. So, here's the thing: if you're dealing with a bad case of bad breath, here's what you can do about it.

1. Always Carry Mints

Handy mints are so easy to carry around. This is especially helpful because you can pop up one whenever you feel the need to. They're good at refreshing your mouth in the middle of the night or right before a party after work.

2. Don't Forget A Handy Mouthwash

A handy mouthwash will be your top gun in your arsenal against bad stench throughout the day. In times of emergency, you can just use the mouthwash, to be certain of doing the job that sometimes mints may not be enough to tackle.

3.  Replace Your Toothbrush Quarterly

This makes sure that you're giving your teeth effective cleansing. Worn-out toothbrushes have bent bristles that aren't sharp enough to go into the crevices to get the food residue out.

4. Add Floss To Your Brushing Routine

For the gunk stuck between your teeth that the brush can't reach, floss is enough to get it out. This gunk is sometimes responsible for the morning stench. In fact, using floss regularly also prevents cavities.

5. Never Forget To Drink Water

If you have a party to go to, set a reminder on your phone that reminds you to drink water hourly. Drinking water helps with hangovers for the next day and lessens the chances of alcoholic breath.
