Delhi Govt To Quarantine Doctors On COVID 19 Duty At The Lalit & People Want This For Nurses Too

With the increasing number of cases of COVID 19 in the national capital, the Delhi Government has decided that the doctors on duty will be accommodated at the Hotel Lalit on government expense.

The official account of CMO Delhi shared the news on Twitter and wrote, âDoctors are on the frontlines of the battle against Coronavirus. All doctors serving in Delhi government's Lok Nayak Hospital and GB Pant Hospital on COVID-19 duty will now be housed in Hotel Lalit. #DelhiFightsCorona.â

LNJP and GBP are among a few hospitals where doctors are available 24*7 for attending positive or suspected cases of coronavirus infection. Itâs indeed a great step but people are now demanding that the government should also consider giving accommodation to the nurses as they are also risking their lives just like the doctors.

What about the "NURSES" Sir....Are they not fighting during this period ...R they immune to this....plz answer Sir ...why this partiality with Nurses..Plz arrange accomodation for both Doctors & nurses community equally at the specific place. We are waiting Sir for ur response

Interestingly, The Lalit in Delhi has also taken the lead to support the Delhi Governmentâs initiative of feeding the needy by donating 1000 kg of wheat flour and 300 kgs of refined wheat flour, over 700 kgs of vegetables from their own gardens in the last couple of days to the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB).

Going back to the news, the national capital of India witnessed a huge spike in the coronavirus cases on Sunday. A total of 23 new cases were reported from the state and hence, this move of quarantining the medical staff had to be taken.

Well, the central government today said there was no plan to extend the 21-day lockdown. But, we will have to wait till April 14 if they plan to extend it.  The novel coronavirus has infected more than 721,000 people worldwide and has claimed over 33,000 lives. MensXP urges you to take the guidelines seriously as this pandemic is contagious and a deadly danger to human life.
