Ronit Roy's Mask Making Video Goes Viral In The US & Even He Wouldn't Have Imagined Why

The new normal amidst the pandemic says that stepping out without a mask is perilous. This has become a way of life as we struggle with the novel Coronavirus. Authorities all over the world have made wearing a mask, along with usage of sanitiser and washing hands a mandate. Addressing the same, a lot of celebrities are showing some quick ways to make masks at home, with the help of cloth and so many other things.

But, Ronit Roy added a unique twist and posted a video where he showed how to make a mask out of a T-shirt. While this video did garner a lot of attention back then, it has now gone viral once again, this time in the US.

If anyone is protesting today, hereâs a way to make a balaclava mask with a T Shirt. Donât forget your shades. pic.twitter.com/Xg67uTZN07

A Twitter user recently shared this video on the social media platform and wrote âIf anyone is protesting today, hereâs a way to make a balaclava mask with a T-Shirt. Donât forget your shades,â The user is basically hinting the people of the US to stay safe when they step outside.

The reference is linked to the recent death of a black man, George Floyd whose tragic death has led to a lot of uproar in the country. There's a whole lot of protest going on due to his death. Roy's video which was posted back then received, which received more than 100k retweets, suddenly went viral again, this time for another good cause, which looks surreal. Reacting to this, he wrote an Instagram message and said "My first tweet with 1M views. Unexpected but Iâm happy that it was for a helpful thing and not something vain and trivial.â

Step by step

Step 1: Pull the T-shirt over your head until the neck opening lines up with your nose.

Step 2: Fold the bottom of the shirt up once, and double-fold it down across your face.

Step 3: Criss-cross the back of the T-shirt once and pull up over the top of your head.

The user who posted the video on his Twitter account added a guide in the next tweet and wrote, "Pull the T-shirt over your head until the neck opening lines up with your nose. Step 2: Fold the bottom of the shirt up once, and double-fold it down across your face. Step 3: Criss-cross the back of the T-shirt once and pull up over the top of your head,â

When Indians realised that the video is indeed Ronit Roy's mask video, they couldn't help but praise the man for his good work and how he unwillingly became a part of the resistance. Check this out.

Doesnât matter who he is, donât really care.
Doesnât matter that this video was intended for COVID, mask still covers your whole face.
Doesnât matter if itâs a $70 Zara shirt, you can use a $2 shirt.

All that matters is that he taught us how to make a mask with a shirt.
