Despite being one of the original eight teams to have been a part of the Indian Premier League since its inception, Kings XI Punjab has more or less been an average franchise.

Even with a loaded roster over the years and some of the biggest names from Indian and international cricket such as Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, KL Rahul, Chris Gayle and Glenn Maxwell, they have somehow managed to not win even a single IPL trophy.

In fact the only time the team made it to the final was in 2014 and were a part of the final four during the inaugural season of the league. Other than that, Punjab has been in the bottom half of the points table, letting their fans down one season after another.
