Apple has admitted via a support document on its website that provides a solution to poor battery performance on iPhones after the latest iOS 14 update. Several users were experiencing battery drain problems on their devices after upgrading to iOS 14 which has now been acknowledged by the Cupertino giant.

Problems related to the Apple Watch and watchOS7 have also been discovered and if you are experiencing “two or more” problems, Apple advises you to unpair the Apple Watch, back up data to iCloud and do a factory reset. After which, Apple has recommended restoring both the Apple Watch and the iPhone from the most recent backup.
Apple has issued a new iOS 14.0.1 update that does have some bug fixes but it does not fix the battery drain issue comprehensively. If you are experiencing massive battery drain issues, we recommend following the steps provided by Apple in order to get your iPhone and Apple Watch working like normal again. Apple has faced similar battery drain problems with previous iOS releases and has seen similar problems. Having said that, not every iPhone user is facing this problem, however we still recommend taking a backup of your phone, resetting it and restoring your data so that you don’t face any more battery drain problems in the near future.
