IPL 2020 Gets Its First Fight As Rahul Tewatia & Khaleel Ahmed Collide In Rajasthan's Heist
A few weeks ago, Rahul Tewatia was the name on everyone's lips following his herculean batting effort that allowed Rajasthan Royals (RR) to record the highest successful run-chase in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He didn't emerge as the top-scorer for his team that day, but Tewatia's crucial knock of 53 runs was the reason why Rajasthan eked out a win over Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
After a few quiet games and unfortunate results for his team, the 27-year-old was once again back to doing what he does best: winning games for Rajasthan. Chasing a total of 158 runs, Rajasthan were staring at certain defeat, reeling at 78/5 against an in-control Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Dubai.
The big-name signings of Ben Stokes (5), Jos Buttler (16) and Steven Smith (5) failed to make any impact with the willow. And, even the likes of Sanju Samson (26) and Robin Uthappa (18) couldn't help their cause, eventually leaving Tewatia (45*) and young Riyan Parag (42*) with an uphill task which was carried out by the duo with noticeable brilliance.

After the match, Khaleel was asked about the incident involving Tewatia but the Hyderabad seamer refused to divulge into the details. "No big deal, we just got taken away in the heat of the moment," the Hyderabad seamer said.Β
Well, we don't really know what was said there, but Khaleel was smart enough to deescalate the situation. After all, Tewatia has all the bragging rights.
