Farhan Akhtar's Tie-Up Shorts & Velcro Shoes Were Possibly A Tribute To His School Uniform

Farhan Akhtar has time and again proved that he's not just a great actor but also an impeccable dresser.  In fact, his laidback, functional sense of style has been a source of inspiration for many over the years.

Farhan was last seen in the film, The Sky Is Pink and is now commencing projects like Toofan and Don 3, both of which are scheduled to hit the theatres next year.

Before the pandemic hit, the actor would be seen every now and then in inspiration-worthy outfits. From walking the ramp with Shibani Dandekar to twinning with her at the airport, he loves dipping his toes in exciting trends as well.

Case in point, recently he was seen stepping out of his car in a rather interesting outfit. Take a look at what he was wearing here:

He was seen wearing a jacket with the logo 'Todun Taak' which could possibly be a reference to the song that goes by the same name by Johny Rawat.

Underneath the jacket, he was wearing a neon green t-shirt. He completed the look with velcro sneakers with an orange swoosh from Nike. These sneakers also had blue and white colourways.

With white being the dominant colour, the sneakers were reminiscent of school shoes that we all wore as kids.

The velcros were attached to these shoes instead of laces as it would be tough for kids to tie knots back then. This is perhaps why most kids preferred velcro sneakers over the ones with laces.

Coming back to Farhan Akhtar, he was also seen wearing tie-up shorts, another silhouette that takes us back to our childhood. This is perhaps why we think his outfit was a tribute to his school uniform.

For Farhan Akhtar's next film, Toofan, the actor is going to return to his buffed-up self as first seen in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. We can't wait for the film to release next year.
