Looks Like Apple Is Already Benefitting By Removing Earpods From iPhone 12 Retail Boxes

Apple's decision to not include a charging brick and Earpods with the iPhone 12 didn't sit well with a lot of people. In fact, a lot of people, including some Android phone manufacturers, mocked the company. But say what you will about Apple and it's strategic decisions, it always works out for them.

According to a new report by Digitimes, Apple's Beats Flex is getting a great response. Beats Flex, in case you don't know, is a new neckband style earphones that Apple launched on the same day as the iPhone 12. It seems to be the go-to substitute for the missing Earpods in the box.

If the sales expectations are something to be considered, then it looks like the Beats Flex will continue to do well in the market till the first half of next year. The report also noted that even AirPods will continue to do well in the TWS market now that the Earpods aren't included in the box.

This move is expected to inspire a lot of other manufacturers to stop bundling earphones inside the box. We're already hearing reports about Samsung not planning to bundle a charging brick and earphones inside the box. We think it's just the beginning of a trend that'll catch up real soon. And the fact that Apple's sales report for AirPods and other audio equipment is looking good only makes it that much convincing to others.

What do you think about this particular decision? Do you think all smartphones should come with the bare minimum of charging brick and earphones? Let us know.
