For a team that began their campaign with a loss, Mumbai Indians (MI) were once again underestimated by the opposition, pundits and probably fans as they succumbed to a crushing loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last league match. Losing a bit of momentum, many felt the four-time IPL champions weren't up to the task this season.
However, contrary to popular perception, all doubts were laid to rest by a rampant Mumbai brigade as they notched up a thumping 57-run win over Delhi Capitals (DC) to seal their berth in this season's final. Quinton de Kock (40) gave Mumbai a roaring start, while the likes of Ishan Kishan (55*) and Suryakumar Yadav (51) anchored the innings. But, it was Hardik Pandya's 14-ball 37 that powered Mumbai to a 200-run total.
