We all have our favorite foods or dishes that can help us cheer up anytime. Be it a breakup or a bad day at work, food has the power to tinkle our taste buds and make us feel better instantly. Now, comfort food can help us in various situations but have you ever imagined that your favorite dish can wake you up from deep sleep or a state of unconsciousness?

A recent bizarre case from Taiwan has revealed that good food can do bigger things than just uplifting our mood and bettering our health. According to Times Now News, an 18-year-old, who was in a coma for the past 62 long days, woke up after his brother mentioned his favourite food ‘chicken fillet’.

Imagine someone saying ‘butter chicken’ and you waking up from regular sleep. That’ll be fun too but this guy miraculously woke up from the state of unconsciousness.

The teenager from northwestern Taiwan underwent a serious scooter accident and suffered life-threatening injuries and internal bleeding in many organs.

Even though doctors were able to stabilize his condition, he went into a deep coma. Chiu was in ICU at Ton Yen General Hospital in Hsinchu County. Also, Hsieh Tsung-Hsin, director of the ICU, said, “The boy had suffered multiple injuries, including laceration of the spleen, right kidney, and liver; bleeding from abdominal cavity fractures.”

Chiu had to undergo six operations including a craniotomy, laparotomy, right kidney nephrectomy, splenectomy, liver repair and right clavicle and right femur open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF).

His family was extremely worried and were praying for a miracle and on the 62nd day, nothing short of a miracle happened. Chiu's older brother visited the hospital and jokingly said, "Bro I’m going to eat your favorite chicken fillet."
