For a club that consistently struggled for silverware before enduring a heartbreak in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League final, Tottenham Hotspur have undeniably been on the rise ever since Jose Mourinho took over the reins from Mauricio Pochettino mid-season last year.

While the Portuguese manager couldn't do much in his first season in-charge, with his team finishing sixth in the Premier League, Mourinho's influence cannot be overlooked in what has been a sensational start to Spurs new campaign.

Thanks to a perfect blend of new signings and proven stars, Mourinho has not only turned the fortunes for Spurs, but he has also allowed their fans to dream on. 

While many players seem to be thriving under Mourinho, a popular face in the Spurs line-up has been a notable omission in recent months.
