Yesterday night, Akshay Kumar met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and discussed his upcoming film Ram Setu. The actor met the politician for dinner at Mumbai's Trident Hotel and the pictures of the two have already gone viral.

Yogi Adityanath is in the financial capital of India where he will launch Rs 200 crores Lucknow Municipal bond at the Bombay Stock Exchange. According to the sources, the CM discussed the potential for film production in UP and how the state government was providing facilities to film producers.

Talking about Akshay’s movie, the film aims to chronicle the story of the Ram Setu (bridge), which according to Ramayan is said to be constructed by the monkey army of Sugreev to reach Lanka from Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu to rescue Sita. He shared the poster on Diwali on Twitter and wrote, β€œThis Deepawali, let us endeavor to keep alive the ideals of Ram in the consciousness of all Bharatiyas by building a bridge(setu) that will connect generations to come.
