Indian-American Rahul Dubey, the man who opened the door of his house for over 70 people protesting against the killing of George Floyd has now been hailed as the Heroes of 2020 by TIME magazine. This has been done to honor the people who have gone beyond their call of duty this year.
Not only this, but the publication also named Australia’s volunteer firefighters who risked their lives to keep the country safe and also food stall owners Jason Chua and Hung Zhen Long from Singapore who didn’t let anyone go hungry amid the pandemic.

It also mentioned a deliveryman Greg Dailey, who started a grocery drop-off service in Mach for anyone who was on the way of his paper route and he dropped off groceries to over 140 homes and conducted over 1000 grocery runs. He was also mentioned by the magazine.
TIME said, “From citizens providing food and shelter to those in need to volunteers who protected their neighbors from natural disasters, these heroes went above and beyond the call of duty in 2020.”
The magazine also described Dubey as "The Man Who Gave Shelter to Those in Need” and why not we all agree.

Dubey had earlier said in an interview that it wasn’t his choice to open the door or provide refuge to people who were outside his house. He said, “If you had seen what was going on in front of my eyes, there was no choice. People were getting pepper-sprayed and beaten and slammed to the ground.”
Well, he deserves to be on the list for sure after what he did. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
