Facebook on Sunday briefly removed the official account of Kisan Ekta Morcha where farmers’ group posted day to day update and had been posting about their ongoing protests against the center’s new farm laws.
Swaraj India chief Yogendra Yadav on Sunday announced that the farmers will begin a day-long relay hunger strike. Soon after, their Facebook account was deleted.

He said, "Farmers will begin a day-long relay hunger strike on Monday at all sites of protest against the new agri laws. It will be started by a team of 11 members at protests sites here, including the Singhu border."
Kisan Ekta Morcha then took to Twitter and posted a screenshot that showed Facebook saying ‘community standards on spam’. The page had over 7 lakh followers and according to farmers unions, the page was removed soon after Swaraj India leader Yogendra Yadav announced in a live video that farmers will hold a relay hunger strike on Monday.

However, after a few hours, the Facebook page was restored which went down earlier in the day after people on social media got angry and there was massive outrage.
