‘Australia Ka Prithvi Shaw?!’ Indian Fans Roast Joe Burns After He Gets Out For Cheap, Again

As Tim Paine’s Australian cricket team began their second innings of the second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Day 3, opener Joe Burns’ struggles continued to haunt him.

The 31-year-old was stunned as a blistering delivery by Indian pacer Umesh Yadav edged his bat and the ball ended up in wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant’s hands on the first delivery of the fourth over.

So much happened in Burns' 10-ball innings!

After getting dismissed for a duck in the first innings, Burns had to return to the pavilion with just four runs coming off his bat.

Without wasting a lot of time, the fans of the Indian cricket team started trolling the Australian veteran for his inability to stick to the crease and giving away his wicket for cheap once again.

I think we can call it even. If India has Prithvi Shaw, the Aussies have Joe Burns.#AUSvIND

Burns’ comparison to Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw draws on the back on a couple of pointers.

First, even Shaw could not manage to score in double digits during the first and second innings of the first Test in Adelaide and had to be dropped by skipper Ajinkya Rahane for the second Test.

Secondly, Burns, who had managed to score a 50 in the second innings of the Adelaide Test was asked by reporters if he had some advice for the young Shaw to get back in form and the Australian and refused to help him ‘at least until the series was over’.
