You can literally cure an incurable disease but if you have desi parents, they will still not be satisfied, not because they are not proud, but they just want you to keep doing better and better. That's actually kind of wholesome and adorable.

But, it's such a desi parent thing to be like 'isse better karna chahiye tha', and even someone like Shubman Gill, who helped India get its historic win in Australia yesterday, can't escape.

Talking about India's victory, Shubman's dad, Lakhwinder Gill, said, "A century would have been good for his confidence. He was playing so well and I don't know why all of a sudden played away from his body."

Shubman Gill did come out as a rising star after his stint down under after scoring 91 runs off just 146 deliveries, which helped in creating the momentum for the historic chase at The Gabba. 

But well, desi parents will always be like, 'thoda aur acha kar lete' and we know it's out of love, so it's okay.
