A lot of people have now started practicing and preaching self-love. People have now started finding inner peace and instead of looking for love outside, they’ve started looking for it within themselves. After all, loving yourself is extremely important.

So, to prove that self-love is important, a 35-year-old woman named Meg Taylor Morrison from Atlanta, Georgia married herself and celebrated by throwing a huge party. She bought a wedding dress for herself and cut a wedding cake alone and also made vows for herself.

According to Mirror UK, she decided to marry herself after she broke up with her boyfriend and she said that this marriage is not a step towards healing. She expressed that she would have married herself even if she was in a relationship with someone.

She said, “I wanted to marry myself as an act of self-love. Part of marrying myself was about going beyond people-pleasing or trying to look a certain way. It was about saying yes to my own desires.”

On her wedding day, Meg walked down the aisle in her wedding dress and blew bubbles along with drinking champagne and she made her wear a wedding ring. Not only this, she said the vows to herself and kissed herself in the mirror.

Also, the entire wedding cost her around Rs 1.02 lakhs.  She said, “marrying myself is an act to remind me to trust my judgment and put my health and happiness first daily.”

Earlier, a man in Brazil also tied the knot with himself after his fiancé broke up with him and had a huge ceremony to celebrate the same.
