Chris Hemsworth has a seemingly busy schedule this year.

He is currently filming his 29th film with Marvel as a part of MCU. The film, Thor: Love And Thunder has now been slated for release in the year, May 2022.

Despite having a water-tight schedule, this week, he organised a 1980s-themed birthday party for his assistant, Aaron Grist.

He even took his official Instagram account to post pictures from the party.

The 37-year-old Australian actor posted a sneak peek of his costume. He was seen wearing a white fitted vest, a pair of track pants from Adidas, and a pair of relatively worn-out trainers. He even added a pair of aviators and chunky gold jewellery.

To complete the look, he also wore the 18-carat rose-gold and navy 41mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak timepiece, which is a timepiece worth looking at.

The watch is priced at £74,000 which comes down to a whopping Rs 64,29,490.

This particular timepiece called Royal Oak was first introduced back in 1972 and was designed by the iconic watch designer Gérald Genta, who, in his time, had worked with high-end watch manufacturers like IWC, Omega, and Patek Philippe prior to the gig with Audemars Piguet.

This watch, surprisingly, is considered one of the world’s first luxury sports watches and is definitely the first stainless-steel watch marketed at a luxury price point.

Its first-ever customer was Shah of Iran, a luxury connoisseur. This clearly justifies its high price point.

With a worthy history, the watch will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.

Its sharp features include an octagonal porthole-inspired bezel and eight hexagonal screws, and a trademark dial featuring Piguet’s signature tapisserie pattern, and lastly, a bracelet with a double folding clasp.

The reason why it was perfect for the fancy-dress party for Hemsworth is that the timepiece saw growing popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and even the late Karl Lagerfeld owned an all-black version.

Currently, it is popular among celebrities like Jay-Z, LeBron James, Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, Justin Bieber as well.
