Seems like the gaffe surrounding Uttarakhand’s new CM Tirath Singh Rawat is like the brewing tea that is overboiling. People of the nation were still trying to digest his statement about women who wear ripped jeans cannot handle a household or their children, and he has now managed to amaze, appal and addle our brains further with some more claims and perceptions. In a recent video, where he is seen addressing the public, the CM spoke about how America is struggling to cope with COVID-19. He tried comparing India to the US and said, “As opposed to other countries, India is doing better in handling the pandemic. America, who enslaved us for 200 years and ruled the whole world... it is struggling at present." Yeah, you probably have been taught that we were enslaved by the UK but looks like either History got rewritten or something happened here that we can't fathom.

So while people were busy making memes, the CM made yet another statement that has actually forced everyone to pop some Eno with their food for the indigestion that it has caused.  While addressing the problem of food division amidst the pandemic, he mentioned how every household got 5 kg ration for each member. He further said how people with more children got more ration because, more people in the house. Obvious. He then went on to say that people who wanted more ration should have produced more offspring. “Now you are jealous of it. When there was time, you produced only two. Why didn’t you produce 20?” he said. So naturally, everyone had a LOT of thoughts which they wanted to express.
