7 Brilliant Fahadh Faasil Movies To Watch If His Performance In ‘Irul’ Intrigued You

Netlfix’s latest offering for crime thriller lovers is the Malayalam movie titled Irul which stars Fahadh Faasil, a super famous actor from down South. The movie has garnered a mixed response but Faahad fans were delighted to see him back in action. In case you are not acquainted with the work of this National Award winning actor but enjoyed watching him in Irul, then here are few of his movies which can be on your binge-list:

1. Bangalore Days

A coming-of-age romantic drama, this multi-starrer is a lovely watch for Fahadh fans for the high relatability factor that it exudes. It is also a special movie for the actor himself as he met his wife on the sets while shooting for this film.

2. Iyobinte Pusthakam

This particular movie starring this superstar is a fan-favourite. The whole formula of the movie, starting from the well researched plot, the cast, dialogues and even the story telling, is wonderfully done. It is a period thriller set in the British era which narrates the tale of a man who comes back to his village, only to discover how his father is being cheated at the hands of his own brother.

3. Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum

A very simple movie beautifully layered with emotions. This one talks about the woes of a married couple who is trying hard to make ends meet and in order to do so, decide to sell the wife’s gold chain, which in turn gets stolen on a bus ride. Watch it for Fahadh’s exceptional acting.

4. Annayum Rasoolum

This award winning romantic drama showcases a very sensitive subject with immense maturity. The story follows Rasool, a taxi driver who falls in love with Anna. Things get complicated when the two want to tie the knot but Rasool is forced by Anna’s sister to convert before marrying her.

5. North 24 Kaatham

The versatile actor won a National award for his portrayal of a software engineer who is battling OCD. Everything changes for him when he embarks on a journey with a few strangers and life takes a new direction.

6. Maheshinte Prathikaaram

This one is a gift to Indian art cinema and a true example of his versatility. The movie chalks out the emotional vulnerability and human rawness that comes with the emotion of revenge.

7. Super Deluxe

I’d recommend this one simply for the fact that how an actor who became a household name with the success he garnered in Malayalam movies, managed to carve his own niche in a Tamil movie as well. The multi-level storytelling stitches stories around an estranged husband, an unfaithful wife, and a very angry boy. Watch it for the brilliance of its storytelling.
