'Scam 1992' Actor Pratik Gandhi Gave A Befitting Reply When Compared With ‘The Big Bull’

The show Scam 1992 became an unexpected blockbuster hit and the show starred fairly new actors mostly.

Pratik Gandhi played the role of Harshad Mehta in the series and became people’s favourite overnight.

The story of the show was loved by the audience but it was once again retold. The Big Bull, a film starring Abhishek Bachchan that tells the same story was released recently. The film also stars Samir Soni, Saurabh Shukla, and many more.

In an interview recently, Pratik Gandhi was asked what he thinks about Abhishek Bachchan’s portrayal of Harshad Mehta in the film and show’s comparison with his film.

He had the sassiest reply. He said, “There can’t be competition between actors. Had it been products, there would have been competition. If I was a biscuit or a soap, there would be competition.”

He told IANS, “I am a human being. How can two people, looking so different and having distinct types of acting, be compared? I don’t take the pressure that your next thing has to be bigger than the previous one."

Not only this, the Gujarati actor’s name is also included in Limca Book of Records for a monologue that he performed in three languages.

According to Pratik Gandhi, the success of his series Scam 1992 is due to his steady rise as an actor. The success of the show also opened up how the show has opened up more opportunities.

He said, “I would convert this as excitement where people are giving me different opportunities now. They are open to working with me on different subjects — which is very exciting for me as an actor, and I am just looking forward to playing another character. So yeah, I don’t think that much. My theatre background is helping me here".
