There are certain rules set in every arena. The same is the case in the fashion world. There are some rules, which if followed in the right manner, can make you look sartorially well-versed at all hours. So here are some 7 of them that you should never ever bend but follow.
1. When Wearing Polo T-shirts

Polo T-shirts no doubt make one look fashionable but there's a way to wear them. Ensure the sleeve is not loose and doesn't look too long. It should end between three-quarters of your bicep and the middle.

There's a rule to follow when it comes to bow-ties as well. The size of the bow-tie matters. When wearing a bow-tie, check the width as it should match with the outer corners of your eyes. If the bow-tie is smaller, it will make your face look enlarged, whereas if it's big, it will make your face look smaller.

The collar of the dress shirt can make or break your look. An ideal collar touches the skin till the entire neck but doesn't press hard. If you are able to slide in two fingers in between the collar and your neck, then that's a well-fitted collar.
The same goes for the shirt cuff. It should give you at least 1 to 1.5 inches of ease and you should be able to slip in two fingers through the cuff.
4. Clothes For Short & Tall Men

If you thought wearing baggy or ill-fitted clothes will define your frame, you are highly mistaken. If you are short in height, opt for high-rise pants along with a matching belt as it creates an illusion of height. Whereas, men who are tall can go for low-rise with contrasting belts.

The pleats on the trousers are also an important element. One rule to follow, especially if you have wider legs or thighs, is that you should opt for double pleated pants over single pleated ones. This ensures that the attention goes on the silhouette.

You can play it safe, by matching the colour of your socks with the rest of your outfit, so it blends well. You can also experiment with prints and patterns, only if the formal setting calls for it. Just make sure you wear them long enough, and not display any skin while sitting.

When it comes to underwear, the only two rules men should follow is that prints are not for you, if you are a grown-up and heavily branded underwears do not look good. Simple. The best style that has stood the test of time, are basic cotton boxer shorts. They are ideal ones to spend money on and are quite comfortable on the skin.
