However, in some cases, not having a degree didn't rob some actors from getting opportunities. Known for his immaculate acting prowess, Ranbir Kapoor has left no stone unturned in Bollywood. As far as his educational background is concerned, he scored low in 10th grade and declared that he had no interest in studying but would rather take up a career in acting. That totally worked out in his favour!

2. Kajol

Kajol has dished out some amazing performances in various movies. But being a part of Bollywood came at a cost of losing out on getting a complete education. Kajol intended to go back to studies, but she got a role in movies, at the mere age of seventeen. Her love for movies superseded the formal degree and hence she pursued a full-time career in acting.

3. Aamir Khan

Aamir is called the perfectionist of Bollywood but when it comes to education, he didn't have a good start. Due to financial constraints in the family, Aamir did his schooling from Mumbai and could only complete his 12th grade. He was more into sports but his passion for acting made him leave his higher education. He then started looking out for work in Bollywood.

Kangana Ranaut, who usually speaks up for the raging issues in Bollywood, has also been a Queen when it comes to her educational background. Ranaut pursued medical studies and did her schooling at DAV School in Chandigarh. She was a studious girl, however, after failing a chemistry test in 12th grade, her life took a dramatic turn. Ranaut ventured into the modelling world and then moved to the Bollywood industry.

5. Salman Khan

Salman Khan is one of the 'biggest' actors that Bollywood has given us. However, taking a look at his academic background, it wasn't as fruitful as his acting career. Salman completed his schooling at Bandra's St. Stanislaus High School and then went to St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai for higher education. He dropped out after his second year.

6. Arjun Kapoor

When it comes to Arjun Kapoor's educational background, it wasn't as eventful as his acting career. He did his schooling at Arya Vidya Mandir School in Mumbai. But after failing in 11th grade, Arjun quit academic life and worked as an assistant director for the movie Kal Ho Naa Ho.

7. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Supposedly, Aishwarya too is a college dropout. She was always an average student in school and she studied for a year in Jai Hind college but later moved on to pursue architecture. She had also considered a career in medicine but turns out life had other plans for her. Soon after, she started receiving modelling assignments and hence she left her studies mid-way.

8. Akshay Kumar

Kumar has earned a black belt in Taekwondo. However, he wasn't as bright in academics. He studied at Don Bosco School in Mumbai and went to Guru Nanak Khalsa College, for a year but dropped out later to pursue martial arts in Singapore. Despite being less educated, his histrionic abilities have made him the Khiladi in Bollywood that he is today.
