MP Police Thrash A Woman For Not Wearing A Mask In Public & People Are Fuming With Anger

India recorded 2,76,110 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and the total tally of the cases now stands at 25,772,440. With such severity, it’s important to wear double masks whenever you step out of the house. Police have been asked to take care of the situation out on the roads as people might not take the safety protocols seriously.

In a recent case, a woman was beaten up and dragged by some police personnel on a road for not wearing a mask while going out to buy vegetables amid the Covid-19 pandemic in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. The video of the incident has been doing the rounds and it’s disturbing to see these visuals.

Here’s the video:

After the video started going viral, people couldn’t stop but bash the police personnel who were mercilessly thrashing her. They even went on to say that police should also take similar actions when people from government authorities flout the rules in campaigns and rallies. They also added this is sheer brutality in the name of following protocols. People also went on to say that she might be wrong but this wasn’t the way to deal with the situation at hand as the police should have fined her but beating her this way isn’t acceptable.

According to police officials, as mentioned in PTI, the woman and her daughter were stopped by police around 11 AM on Monday for not wearing masks. The police tried to take them away in a jeep to an open jail as punishment, but the duo resisted and allegedly hit a policewoman.

Rahli’s sub-divisional officer of police Kamal Singh said, “The video showed only half of the incident. The woman hit a female cop first and the latter had bruises on her face of an injury caused by nails.”
