After the huge success of Kevin Feige's Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), there had been a tremendous amount of pressure on the DC superhero universe to bring something similar to the fore.
But Warner Bros. is used to dealing with such pressures and responded in an emphatic fashion with movies ranging from Man of Steel, Justice League, Wonder Woman, Shazam and Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman standalone film.

He is said to be Billy Batson AKA Shazam's main villain after he acquires the same powers that Shazam has from the ancient wizard but chooses to use them for revenge.
