After the huge success of Kevin Feige's Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), there had been a tremendous amount of pressure on the DC superhero universe to bring something similar to the fore.

But Warner Bros. is used to dealing with such pressures and responded in an emphatic fashion with movies ranging from Man of Steel, Justice League, Wonder Woman, Shazam and Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman standalone film.

While the world has seen a swarm of superhero movies in the last decade or two, fans can never get enough, and they will get exactly what they want.

Warner Bros. roped in one of the most bankable actors in Hollywood, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to play the role of anti-hero Black Adam in DC's upcoming Black Adam film.

He is said to be Billy Batson AKA Shazam's main villain after he acquires the same powers that Shazam has from the ancient wizard but chooses to use them for revenge.
