Recently, we got to know that Bhumi Pednekar will be once again seen alongside Akshay Kumar in his upcoming film Raksha Bandhan. The film is directed by Anand L Rai and Akshay Kumar took to social media to welcome Bhumi to the team.

So, here is all we know about Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Raksha Bandhan- 

Akshay Kumar announced the film on Raksha Bandhan last year. The film’s story revolves around a special bond between a brother and a sister. He also expressed in his announcement that he signed the film immediately after reading the script.

He also said that he wants to dedicate the film to his sister Alka Bhatia.

He also took to Twitter and wrote, “A story that touches your heart so deeply & so instantly, it’s the quickest I’ve signed a film in my career. Dedicating this film,#RakshaBandhan to my sister, Alka & to the most special bond in the world...that of a brother and sister.Thank you @aanandlrai ,this one is very special.”

Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar will play the lead in the film. Bhumi also took to social media to share the news saying, “A very special film & a very special reunion. Am supremely excited to be collaborating again with two of my favorite creative powerhouses & humans. Am full of gratitude to be a part of this special, heart-touching story #RakshaBandhan (sic).”

The film will be directed by Anand L Rai and is written by Himanshu Sharma. The film is scheduled to release on November 5, 2021.
