Video Of Farhan’s Preparation For ‘Toofan’ Will Make You Chant ‘Aaj Kuch Toofani Karte Hai’

Farhan Akhtar is a name which is easily synonymous with all things brilliant. The man can act, he is a director par excellence (we have DCH because of him duh!), he can sing well if you hand him a guitar, and he makes excellent choices as a producer.

The best part of his versatility is that he ensures his characters are an extension of him and the line between reel and real life is blurred. Be it training for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, or now training to be a boxer for Toofan, time stops for him when he is preparing for his roles. It took him two years to train and learn how to live like a boxer for his next movie and if that’s not commendable as an actor, I don’t know what is.

In a descriptive video shared by him and the team of Toofan, the entire intricacies of the process are shown. How he trained to pack a punch and not ‘fake’ a punch, how to excel as a boxer. Every moment of his character is not a result of good acting but a well planned choreography of learning boxing as a professional sport.

This video is like a Pandora’s box of inspiration for anyone who believes that starting or picking up something new later in life is ‘too late’. The commendable physical and mental transformation that he has undergone has baffled everyone.

Thanks amazing transformation man ! How do you do this in your mid 40s ??? Most of us in that bracket are pot bellied handsome hunks

Interested to hear you draw parallels to the physical and mental work that went into preparing for this role, as opposed to Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Kudos! You deserve the success to your reflecting hardwork! Waiting anxiously to see #toofan

If nothing else, then I guess watching the movie just for Farhan’s performance is reason enough! This video has left us chanting ‘aaj kuch toofani karte hai’.
