After People Call Tisca ‘Alia Bhatt Pro’, She Apologises For Using Wrong Pic Of Mirabai Chanu

Mirabai Chanu won India’s first medal at Tokyo Olympics with a silver in women’s 49kg weightlifting on Saturday, the first official day of action at the Games.

The entire nation was proud of her win and so was Tisca Chopra but her tweet backfired at her as she mistakenly used the photo of the Indonesian weightlifter Aisah Windy Cantika to congratulate Mirabai Chanu.

Check out her now-deleted tweet:

People were quick to judge her and troll her brutally. One of the users even called her ‘Alia Bhatt Pro Max’ and another user said that Darsheel Safari wasn’t dumb in Taare Zameen Par but it was actually her.

Here are the reactions:

Replying to one Twitter user who pointed out her mistake, Tisca wrote, “Sorry - made a mistake.” In response to another, she wrote, “Glad you guys had fun! That was a genuine mistake, am so sorry .. still doesn’t mean I am not proud of @mirabai_chanu at the #TokyoOlympics .. and of the rest of our contingent.”

Was it fair to troll her for a mistake? Or was it important to remind people that they need to be aware of the national achievements? Let us know in the comments section below.
