8 Bollywood Celebrities Who Gave Up Meat & Turned Vegetarian For A Good Reason

Bollywood celebrities have always been a major source of inspiration when it comes to having a healthy lifestyle. Not just that, we are often intrigued by their fitness journey and diet plans as well.

There's an assumption that eating non-vegetarian food or meat can help one stay fit. However, a few celebrities gave it all up for several reasons and turned vegetarian for life. These actors have been practising it for quite some time now. If you are looking to switch, take a look at these eight celebrities who turned vegetarian.

1. Shraddha Kapoor

Back in 2020, PETA named Shraddha Kapoor the ‘hottest’ vegetarian. She also took to Instagram a few days back and spoke about not consuming meat. While she received a lot of flak in the comments, Shraddha remains a vegetarian. In her journey, she was inspired by PETA's cookbook, and she mentioned that she is a smart eater but can't give up food completely.

2. Shahid Kapoor

In a post, Riteish said, "I have been a hardcore meat eater who turned vegetarian 4 years ago. Let me be honest there have been times when I have craved the taste and indulgence of meat. With Plant-Based Meat around, I am a much happier vegetarian now. I would rather just imagine meat."

4. Amitabh Bachchan

In an interview, she said, "Spiritually, being a non-vegetarian was blocking me. It was hard to leave and I won't say that I don't crave it, but you can do it with your willpower." She also mentioned that she turned vegan as well since dairy gave her acidity.
