B Praak Recreates (Ruins) Epic Song ‘Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana’ & 90s Kids Are Super Mad

Bollywood is not just a film industry. It’s an emotion for the desis and we don’t let anyone mess with the music and movies, especially the cult classics that we (90s kids) are seriously attached to.

We would die before we’d let anyone so much as think of remaking Andaz Apna Apna with newly-launched star kids.

The same goes with the songs that we feel close to. And, Bollywood has a serious problem of remixing, recreating, basically ruining the classic songs we love so much.

Although some do turn out better than the original (case in point ‘Tamma Tamma Again’ and ‘Laila Main Laila’), most are just trash and take the essence out of the song.

B Praak has been on the receiving end of a lot of flak from 90-born janta because he just recreated two classic songs from the golden era and didn’t do justice to them.

First, it was the legendary Jagjit Singh’s ‘Koi Fariyad’ and now, it is every aashiq’s anthem, ‘Sach Keh Raha Hai Deewana’ from the movie Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.

The soulful song is originally sung by KK and features Madhavan who’s expressions are everything in the music video. It’s such a simple and melodious song, why would anyone want to recreate it?

Here it is if you want to listen to B Praak’s rendition of it.

People are not amused and we don’t blame them. Here is how the desis reacted to the rendition:

How to ruin a classic?
I will have to go back and listen to original one at least 5 times to undo what i just have witnessed.

Why ????????

Transforming a melody by the legel KK to a cacophony is blasphemy.

This guy should be put in a sound proof room and forced to listen to this noise in repeat loop.

yess no wonder @BPraak is good at his own created art..! but the song with soft yet emotional is ruined..!! sorry to say a masterpiece is created once .. twice its just a piece

Stop screwing with good songs

If you really have talent, then take a flop song and remake it into a hit song..

B Praak is a talented artist, no doubt and has given a number of good songs including ‘Filhaal’ and ‘Teri Mitti’. But we think the music industry should stick to the original songs and leave the classic alone. Don’t touch the 90s songs, at least.

Or maybe as one user suggested, take a hated, annoying song and turn it into a hit remix. You could start with ‘Tandoori Nights’ or B Praak's very own ‘Baarish Ki Jaye’. The list is endless.
