Some actors in Bollywood and Hollywood, for example, Tiger Shroff and Tom Cruise, are adept at performing their stunts. They are trained enough to do it without the need of having a body double.  

The concept of body doubles has become a norm in Bollywood, as these men and women make the lives of B-town stars easier.  

Here are movies in which Bollywood actors have needed a body double: 

1. Katrina Kaif

Katrina had a few stunts in the song Bang Bang. But, if you look carefully, the scenes were performed by Katrina's body double.  

Unfortunately, before shooting the song, the actress got cold feet doing the task and hence her replacement was utilised.  

2. Nandita Das

There were many sensual scenes in the movie Fire. As a result, it became quite a controversial film.  

However, the intimate scenes in the movie were not performed by Nandita herself, but her body double.

3. Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan also had his body double perform stunts for a few scenes in Mohenjo Daro. Even though the film tanked at the box office, the usage of a body double for Hrithik became a surprising part.

4. Salman Khan

Salman Khan has also used many body doubles in several movies. Parvez Kazi has been a part of a few films as he has an uncanny resemblance with the actor. 

However, for a scene in Sultan, another body double was used. In a scene where Salman is seen running behind a kite, in reality, it is someone else.

5. Hema Malini

There wasn't a single scene where we thought Hema's iconic role as Basanti was played by someone else in Sholay. Although, yes, even Hema had a body double in the film named Reshma, who performed a few scenes.

6. Varun Dhawan

Before he ventured into Bollywood, Varun was seen as a body double in My Name Is Khan. 

Even though SRK was in the lead role, Varun played Jimmy Sheirgill's body double in a scene. Recently, a page on Instagram shared the picture and everyone was stunned.

7. Abhishek Bachchan

Even Abhishek needed a stuntman in the movie Raavan. So, for the action scenes, his body double was used, as he had a similar physique to Junior Bachchan's.

8. Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan injured himself while shooting for Shakti. Hence, for Farhan Akhtar's Don, it became impossible for him to do dangerous stunt scenes. Hence a body double did the heavy sequences for the film.
